On the occasion when Her Justice interdicted, I beg to say that I was not aware that the Court was affecting any application which had relevance to my case, nor can I admit they have. I have always acted on the belief that my engagement was under a special contract, and not in any way governed by the Colonial Regulations.
With regard to the letter of Mr. Justice Snowden, I am unable to comment on it as I have not seen it, but if it refers to observations which I made, I admit that I made some observations which might not have been discreet, but which were unavoidable under the circumstances. I prepared a statement of those circumstances for the information of His Excellency, but the exigencies of the office prevented a copy from being made in time before the letter of Dec.
